Ghanaian Dancehall artist and “Ayoo” hitmaker Shatta Wale has replied to critics who predict his yet-to-be-released album titled “Gift of God” or “G.O.G” shall be as successful as Black Sherif’s not too long ago launched album “The Villain – I never was”.
He acknowledged clearly that, he doesn’t care if his album doesn’t meet up with the trends Black Sherif’s debut album has reached as presumed by the general public.
On Thursday, October 6, 2022, ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker, Black Sherif launched his debut album entitled “The villain I Never Was” and got the whole country talking.
Most music lovers have since commended him for his quick rise in the entertainment industry and the work he has done on the album.
Lawrence Asiamah Hanson popularly known as Bulldog, who is the former manager of Shatta Wale, who stated in an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, on Accra-based Hitz FM, that both Sarkodie and Shatta Wale fall short when it comes to reaching a wider audience, unlike Black Sherif.
“I woke up this morning and I was like wow; this month of October is a serious month because we have three of our artists releasing. Black Sherif just released his album.
“Sarkodie will be releasing his albums in a few days and Shatta wale will release. Now listen, from the top of my head I said Black Sherif will do better than all of them,” Bulldog stated in the interview.
Shatta Wale caught wind of the criticism, and shared a post of facebook
“Eeerrrhhh if Blacko’s album will do better than us kwraaa, we like and we hear… at the end of the day Ghana wins” and added that the music business they are all doing is about “money matter,”.
